🎀 Speaker 1:

Welcome back to another fantastic episode where I get to interview a Media Firestorm client about their experience about getting booked on podcasts. I’m Angel Tuccy. We run the Need a Guest Facebook community, podcast community, and take our clients through an incredible program called Media Firestorm, helping them get booked on podcasts every single week. And I can’t wait to share the exciting story of what’s going on right now with Miss Virginia Musks and her experience getting booked on podcasts.

Virginia, we had a great conversation yesterday. Your energy was off the chain and I’m like, we have got to capture this. How are you doing today? I’m super great. I I’m really over the moon because um yeah, really great things are happening.

So, really great things are happening. Now, let’s give a little background, a little context, tell people who you are, what you do, and how you serve. Like, what are you out there speaking on podcast and what are you sharing? So, I’m Virginia Musk. I’m fondly known as the referral diva and coaches, consultants, expert advisors hire me to help them add an additional quarter million dollars of revenue to their top line through the power of relationships and referrals.

Uh I they no funky no funky funnels, no crazy tech, no paid traffic, just a super simple way of relating to people and creating referrals on demand. Okay, how’s that for an introduction, right, of who she is or yeah, who she is, who she helps. I mean, quarter of a million to your bottom line with not all that fancy tech. Like, I love how she introduces herself and this is probably why she’s one of our most favorite guests, right? Most sought-after guests, one of our most popular guests is because she’s just clear, straight, and to the point.

Virginia, you do you do something amazing for for your clients and you’re out there and you already had a background, you already had a marketing platform and a way to get your message out. Why did you choose podcasting? Why did you add being a podcast guest to all the things that you’re already doing that that’s kind of working for you? So, one of the things that’s really interesting is is that um I’m a talker. So, being that I’m a talker, podcasting is just super appealing. And I actually got it started with you guys uh because I met Jamie first and was doing his seven figure podcast formula.

And so, um you know, getting guests, but sometimes getting guests is really hard. So, one of the things that I like about being a guest is getting guests. So, I get to be on a podcast and then if it’s someone that I think is a good fit for my funnel, I’m just like, “Oh, you’re great. I’d love to interview.

I’d love to reciprocate. Let’s let’s get on my podcast. I think you’d be a great fit.” And for me, that’s one really big reason. The other reason is that um I talk to a guest and they might not be a great fit for my podcast, but they could be a great fit for someone that I know.

And uh if I’m finding out like what are they up to and you know in that green room conversation at the end um really finding out what they need and who that who they need to be connected to and making those connections and that strengthens my network as well. And you know honestly I’m I’m getting leads. I mean people are opting in for my freebie and uh they’re I’m talking to them and and so um that’s just really nice. I’m I’m getting people showing up at webinars and showing up in my community that are coming from th those audiences.

So, who doesn’t want that? And I get to talk to cool people. So, who doesn’t want that? And who doesn’t want that? Okay. So, this week or just recently, you ended up on on a podcast as a guest that you thought, okay, wait a minute. Why are you on this? Right.

Yeah. Tell me a little background about that. So, I don’t want to get too specific, right? Because like I got something in the works right now. But so I I’m on this podcast and I’m asking my VA.

I’m like, I understand that that Media Firestorm sent this over, but did did you research this or anything before you put me on? And she was like, “Yeah, I do. And I think you’d be great.” And I I have no understanding of why anybody thinks that I should be great. And I get on it and he’s like, “This podcast is for this audience.” And I’m like, “I don’t even like work with that audience as a like as a coach. It’s not even an audience that I serve.” But I was like, “Okay, well, but what I do will serve that audience, so let’s just run with it.” So, we get to the end of the conversation and he says, “Can I show you something?” And shares his screen, whips open a spreadsheet and starts showing me like the backside of his business.

And he’s like, “And this is going on and that’s going on and I don’t know what’s going on and do you see it?” And I looked at this spreadsheet and I said, “Oh yeah, I totally know what’s going on. He’s like, “Wait a minute.” Like, it’s super obvious. I’m like, for me it was like super obvious what’s going on. And he says, “That’s why I had you on the podcast because I thought I wanted to work with you.

That’s why I had you on the podcast. I thought I wanted way to meet you.” Yeah. Like it was really funny. Like I knew you’d be a good guest.

I researched you, right? But I thought maybe this person can help me and then so that I’m showing it to you and you say you can. So, um, yesterday we had a conversation and I got to dig a little deeper and what’s really exciting, like it’s a very it’s a very interesting potentially lucrative consulting conversation, right? And and opportunity, but Angel, what’s so thrilling to me about this opportunity is um, this human being is a legend. Like, this is a person in his space that is an absolute freaking legend. This person has coached over like hundreds of thousands of hours.

So, this is somebody who’s got some real some real gravitas and some real experience. And I’m thinking, “Oh, this is really sexy because I’m creating this relationship where I’m going to be able to tap into that that wisdom and that knowledge and that experience.” And I’m thinking we’re going to be sort of knowledge partners. I’m not thinking it’s going to go any further. But then as I’m looking at it and um you know asking them questions and then realizing what actually I can do for them and with them is I think I can 4x their revenue.

So I can take them from doing what they’ve done over five years and I can compress that so that they’re doing it annually. Oh wow. Wow. just and it’s it like it’s complex and it’s phased and it but the bigger part of it.

So once that happens is the ripple effect because the people that they are helping are employing people and creating more value and creating more wealth and creating more opportunity. And I’m really, really, really staunch about the power of small business and how we have to take a stand for that because um if Vanguard and Black Rockck own everything, we’re screwed. Oh, see this is why she’s also such an incredible podcast guest. So controversial, right? Right.

Well, you know, you you disrupt some myths, right? We’re disrupt like you get people, right? You know, we’re kind of going down a path and they’re like, “Wait a minute. if we don’t pay attention to what’s going on, right, we’re gonna end up someplace else. So, you came to our media mastery retreat that we held in Mexico last year. You said something in the room that I think was super powerful and I grabbed on to it and that was that every podcast host, right, regardless of their audience, how powerful it is to build relationships with these podcast hosts.

And I’ve watched you do that from from day one. And so when we got this call, I’m like, of course, of course this is happening for you because of how you approach it. Um, and you’re so strategic about how you approach it, even if it was seemingly you’re like, “This doesn’t seem like it would be a good fit. I don’t know why I’m on this show.

These aren’t my people.” But you ran with it anyways. But you also said that we said a couple things to you at that retreat that also you’ve kind of that you’ve held on to since then. Do you remember that? I do. Yeah.

Yeah. So the the one thing and it’s taken a year, a little over a year to actually take root and it had to do with something you said. We were sitting out by the pool in the little cabanas and you looked at me and you said, “Girl, you’re making this too complicated. This is just about you deserving it.” And I was like, did I say that? I didn’t even remember that.

You totally did. You were like, you just don’t think you deserve it. This is a deserve issue. Like this is not a tactical issue.

Like you’re all blocked up and blocking yourself and can’t figure this out and can’t because I was like I was like in the weeds of the tactic like I don’t know what to say and I don’t know what to do and I can’t figure the the button and you know and I was super like like stuck in that. And you just looked at me you’re like girl this is not a tactical problem. This is a deserve problem. Oh you just don’t think I think you don’t think you deserve this.

And I was like I don’t right. Like I was like I don’t know if I showed it but I was like back in my room and I’m like he’s right. I don’t think I deserve this. Right? So that set me off on a big journey of well who told me that lie and why did I why did I eat that for dinner on a Tuesday night and you know sort of working through all of that and that’s led me down some really interesting paths and meeting some very cool people along the way.

Um, the tactical thing happened when Jamie was in the room and he’s like, “You all make everything so complicated. It’s like it’s business is not complicated. It’s leads, offers, sales, and fulfillment. Leads, offers, sales, and fulfillment.” And then he said, “And if you’re spending more than four hours a week fulfilling, you’re not doing enough leads, offers, and sales.” And I have been a parrot about that in my with my own clients.

I’m like, why? I’m building my website. Why? Have you made your research calls today? Have you picked up the phone five times today? Have you sent out five LinkedIn connections? Have you made five DMs on Facebook? Like, have you done the the the lead generation activity? Have you booked yourself on a podcast if you’re choosing to speak? Like what is your lead funnel lead generation mechanism and did you do it today? Cuz it should be like freaking brushing your teeth. Yes. Lead generation lead generation activity is toothbrushing.

Yes. Yes. Yes. And you if you wouldn’t go three times a day without brushing your teeth or more um if you wear Invisalign, right? Um if you’re not brushing your teeth every day and you’re not flossing your teeth every day, what the heck? So I’m like look lead genen three times a day offers like flossing once a day floss your teeth after you floss your teeth make an offer.

Yeah it’s a habit and it is for the it’s it really is um financial hygiene for your business if you’re not doing that. And it just stuck and now I’m just like is this leads offer sales or or fulfillment? No. Screw it. I’m not doing it.

as told most elegant elegantly by Virginia. I love this Virginia. I I love your energy. I love what you’re doing.

I love the results that you are seeing and that we were able to pour into you, but that you received it. And I think so often we’re just doing what we’ve always done and we just expect a different result. So, um, the referral diva, she can help put an extra quarter million dollar into your bottom line. How do we work with you? How do we follow up with you? What is the next step to get into Virginia’s castle? One is to connect with me on LinkedIn.

I am the only Virginia muskis musqu on LinkedIn. So connect with me on LinkedIn, but more importantly download the business byreferral blueprint. And you can find that at masterconnectors.combloopprint. masterconnectors plural with an s.combloopprint.

Uh, and that’ll give you a a nice highlevel view of the six-step process that you need to be embedding in your business to use referrals and relationships as your lead acquisition strategy. Beautiful. Beautiful. Anything else we want to share? If somebody’s looking at the media firestorm program, trying to decide if this is a good fit for them, a next step for them, what would you say to them? I It’s absolutely It’s worth every nickel and then some.

Number one, uh, you and Jamie are two of the most quality humans that I have in my world. Um, and I know I’m in the background an awful lot, right? But I watch and I listen and uh, and you got you got the goods and you bring it. So I don’t I think in a world where so many people feel like it’s hard to make that investment because they’ve done they’ve worked quote unquote with so many other coaches and not gotten a result. Um, I’ll just say if you follow Jamie and Angel and you do what they say, the results happen.

You’re the only one that would be in your own way if you invested in that program and learned from them because they don’t quit on you and they don’t let you down. Thank you. Thank you so much. I adore you.
